"भावार्थ : जाति, पाँति, कुल, धर्म, बड़ाई, धन, बल, कुटुम्ब, गुण और चतुरता- इन सबके होने पर भी भक्ति से रहित मनुष्य कैसा लगता है, जैसे जलहीन बादल (शोभाहीन) दिखाई पड़ता है॥3॥"

"…apart from that, caste, clan, lineage, righteousness, fame, wealth, strength, family, virtues, or cleverness hold no value. One devoid of devotion is of no worth, just like a cloud without water…"
