"भावार्थ : तब मारीच ने हृदय में अनुमान किया कि शस्त्री (शस्त्रधारी), मर्मी (भेद जानने वाला), समर्थ स्वामी, मूर्ख, धनवान, वैद्य, भाट, कवि और रसोइया- इन नौ व्यक्तियों से विरोध (वैर) करने में कल्याण (कुशल) नहीं होता॥2॥"
